Le travail de Martin Sastre est un commentaire ironique et humoristique d'un artiste latino américain qui essaye de se faire une place sur la scène artistique internationale. Sastre à créé la Fondation Martin Sastre pour les "Artistes latino-américains Super Pauvres" dont le slogan est: "Adoptez un un artiste latino-américain".
L' objectif de cette fondation est de soutenir des artistes n'ayant pas les moyens économiques d' accéder aux circuits internationaux.
