IMAGE—MOUVEMENT
IMAGE—MOUVEMENT is a new platform of thoughts and experimentation dedicated to the moving image, created by Katya García-Antón at the heart of the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève’s programme, in order to research the characteristics of this terrain and its impact on contemporary culture.
It was launched in December 2010 with an exhibition entitled “Atlas. Truths, Details, Intervals and the Afterlives of the Image” and a four-day forum.
May 2011, IMAGE—MOUVEMENT 2010 was at THE SCREEN FROM BARCELONA/LOOP FAIR.
In 2011 at Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, the plaftorm presents
- Film programmes on monitors
- An exhibition dedicated to collectif_fact, a young collective based in London and Geneva : COLLECTIF_FACT : WORLDMAKING (4 Nov. 2011 - 15 Jan. 2012)
- A one-day forum on electronic arts Saturday 5th November 2011
- A thematic group show and a screening cycle using « La Jetée » (1962) by Chris Marker as a starting point: LES MARQUES AVEUGLES (25 Nov 2011 - 22 Jan 2011)
- An exhibition dedicated to collectif_fact, a young collective based in London and Geneva : COLLECTIF_FACT : WORLDMAKING (4 Nov. 2011 - 15 Jan. 2012)
